REMARKS FROM MY MENTORS

Will Johns
Senior Manager - Domestic Network Planning
United Airlines
Gleb reported to me on the Current Schedules team during his first year in Network Planning.
Just several weeks into the job, COVID upended our normal business process and sent us all to work from home. Many would have struggled to learn the Current Schedules skillset during such a chaotic time, virtually, and given the limited bandwidth we had for one-on-one training; instead, Gleb thrived and quickly became a key contributor to the critical work we were doing, diving into the deep end. I was most impressed by Gleb’s initiative to drive his own learning process and his strong work ethic. He asked the right questions, tackled challenges head-on, and handled joining the company during its biggest crisis with composure and grace.
Not only did Gleb ramp-up better than we could have imagined, but he used his experience to build a comprehensive Current Schedules new-hire guide, which has been instrumental in getting new team members up to speed. In his first few months, Gleb also played a key role in adding close-in capacity to high load factor markets for our Denver hub. This enabled significant revenue and improved customer experience in the very early days of United’s COVID recovery.

Curtis Hedgepeth
Manager - Airside Operations
Las Vegas Harry Reid Int'l Airport (LAS)
I had the absolute privilege of managing Gleb as a summer intern at Las Vegas International Airport.
During his time with my department, I presented him with an extremely challenging project. He was asked to conduct an in-depth detailed study on the inefficiencies of Las Vegas Int’l Airport ramp control and draw conclusions that could be used for future operational improvements. Gleb wasted no time, and his enthusiasm was contagious. He utilized his own aviation experience while observing our operation, allowing him to devise a strategy for which to accurately extract delay and taxi data. His efforts were so impressive that my team of controllers invited him to control traffic on the ramp on numerous occasions to gain first-hand knowledge of the decision-making process involved. He creatively devised a strategy to collect past and existing taxi data and crafted an “efficiency analysis” to assist in creating future procedures. Thus far the efficiency study he created has been used to influence existing agreements between Las Vegas Int’l Airport and the Federal Aviation Administration in order to decrease taxi times, and save our local airlines thousands of dollars through fuel savings.
Gleb’s impressive efforts resulted in the most in-depth study of our airport's ramp control operations that we’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a bold thinker with great ambition, Gleb would be a valuable addition to your team.

Abby Areinoff, Esq.
Former Senior VP, Sony Pictures Entertainment
Business Professor, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical Univ.
I have had the privilege of having Gleb in several of my classes during his time at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
It is rare to meet someone who embraces each experience with the level of enthusiasm and challenge that Gleb does. He faces each situation with determination, but also with an openness that invites confidence and inspires others to participate fully as well. He demonstrates an unbridled, positive approach to the work he does, but also a high level of professionalism and dedication to excellence. He is vocal, influential, focused and has an indomitable spirit that carries him through each situation and assists others to do the same. He is academically superior and gives fully in his pursuit for achievement.
During the time I have known Gleb and seen his approach to his academic and extracurricular activities, I have been very impressed. This is the type of student who brings a rare combination of strong principles, academic focus and social responsibility to his college experience and it is infections to those around him. There is no doubt that he will be successful in whatever he chooses to do and Embry-Riddle will have well served both Gleb and those he supports through his efforts. I strongly recommend him for whatever opportunities may be available to him.
